More from me

Schools are central to supporting strong communities across Aberconwy. The role they play in educating our children is invaluable and we cannot underestimate the positive impact that can come from appropriate and effective teaching.

I am keen to ensure that your views on the education of children in Wales and the rest of the United Kingdom are represented in Parliament.

In June 2022, I spoke in a Westminster Hall debate on the materials used in RSE lessons and raise some key concerns. You can listen to this here:

In June of this year I also resigned as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Wales Office where I was pleased to be a part of the team since July 2022.

This came after a discussion over my reservations about a vote (on a piece of education legislation in Northern Ireland) with the Northern Ireland Minister and the Whips.

It's not a decision I reached lightly - to be clear I remain fully supportive of the PM and government and efforts to tackle the challenges we face.
