The second visit was to Cat and Kevin in the Wonderland Cards and Gifts shop on Clonmel Street (linking Mostyn Street and the Promenade).
They confirmed the speculation I've been hearing about who is coming to Llandudno.
It was clear to them that people are eager to come to Llandudno - but different faces are showing up in the shop. As well as visitors from Liverpool and Manchester this year they have also noticed visitors from the Midlands, Derby and even Nottingham.
"There are definitely people coming who would normally have gone to Spain." said Kevin.
The gifts and crafts they offer from local artists (and Kevin's mini 'deli' area) seemed to be ticking the right boxes when I visited, as did the help they had received during lockdown, from government.
Their attitude like so many I have spoken to has been one of 'let's roll up our sleeves and get on with this'. That is a kind of courage that doesn't receive a lot of publicity but definitely deserves our support.
It has been great to see the streets busy again in recent days and weeks. As long as people are sensible there is no reason why this should not continue for the rest of the summer.
Let's just hope the weather holds too!
