Stopping veterans being pursued through the Courts

Today is Armistice Day.

Last Thursday at my selection meeting I told members I would try prevent veterans being pursued through the Courts by inappropriate use of the Human Rights Act.

An estimated 1000 veterans face these challenges (the so called practice of "lawfare") today. They have put their lives on the line; we should have their backs.

So today I am delighted to learn Conservatives have pledged to do just that.

What's more, Conservatives have pledged to extend the veterans railcard to spouses and dependents travelling with them.
